History has been made. We the People have taken back our government. We’ve delivered a Republican majority in the House and in the Senate, a Pro-Life President and a Pro-Life Vice President in the White House. This year’s March for Life marked the first time ever that a sitting Vice President attended and spoke at the March for Life Rally. All that remains is for We the People to direct our representatives to legislatively protect children in the womb.
The Constitution protects the God-given inalienable rights of all human beings. The first and most important right is the right to Life, without which we cannot enjoy any of our other rights. Why then is the respect and protection of LIFE not first on the agenda for our Legislature now that they have a President who will sign pro-life legislation into law? It seems our priorities need adjustment.
“Annually, an estimated 56.3 million babies die from abortion worldwide. That’s approximately one baby being aborted every 1.8 seconds.” http://bound4life.com/statistics/ How many babies have died from abortion since President Donald Trump took office on January 20, 2017? I shudder to think of the number. The United States is a leader among nations. We must immediately provide leadership in respect and protection of the right to LIFE.
We have become complacent in the idea and expectation that elected officials will not take action in defense of LIFE. We’ve grown accustomed to liberal progressive leadership which wouldn’t permit action on this issue. However, we are no longer confined by liberal progressive anti-LIFE leaders. We have Republican majorities in Congress and declared pro-life Republicans in the White House. Babies dying from abortion in the United States today are now dying on our watch. God, our creator, is surely watching us. We must direct our government to take action now.
A perfect opportunity for such action would be passage and enactment of the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR36 114th Congress)” https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/36 . This bill passed the House in the past and should now pass the Senate. Certainly our Pro-Life President will sign it. HR36 protects children at 20 weeks gestation, an age at which doctors recognize that children in the womb feel pain. Doctors prescribe anesthesia for pre-born children at this stage and younger when in utero surgery is performed. It seems common sense that children at this age should surely never be torn limb from limb in a late term abortive procedure. Equally abhorrent is the idea of anesthetizing a child in order to kill him or her. Science tells us children at this age must be protected.
“Location should not determine a human being’s right to life. Let’s be consistent with science and protect our weakest.” Live Action https://www.facebook.com/liveaction/photos/a.60779243727.67712.49651563727/10154685068553728/?type=3&theater
Please take action by contacting your Congressmen, your Senators, and the White House today. Direct them to pass and enact the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR36 114th Congress)”. Tell them “A person is a person no matter how small.” Dr. Seuss. Remind them that God is watching.
